The XIII National Conference of the Society was held at ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh (India) on “Challenges in Quantitative Genetics for improvement of Indigenous Animal Genetic Resources (AnGR)” during 19-20 January, 2017. As a fellow up of the one of the major recommendation of this Conference, Brainstorming Workshop on “Genomic Selection and its Implementation In India: The Way Forward” was organized by Indian Society of Animal Genetics and Breeding, New Delhi and ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar, Bareilly (UP) on 17-9-2018 at ICAR-IVRI, Izatnagar under the chairmanship of Dr T.
